Enterprise Cloud Architect - Azure & AWS

Contract Position

$57.98-$62.98/Hour 


Senior Azure Specialist job is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Space & Defense company. In this remote, work from home job you will design, implement and manage cloud-based solutions to support mission critical systems; Select appropriate cloud platforms, migrate on-premises workloads to the cloud, ensure security and compliance, and optimizing cloud resources for cost and performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver cloud solutions that exceed customer expectations.
  • Configure, and administer cloud computing technologies, infrastructure, and applications to meet requirements
  • Develop software automation and scripts to orchestrate cloud and virtualization technologies with scope, schedule, and expectations
  • Lead the evaluation of new service offerings from Cloud Service Providers to determine potential usage
  • Identify, manage, and resolve cloud computing security risks
  • Monitor requests for cloud resources, performance of systems in the cloud and direct remediation
  • Provide SME technical support to customers using Cloud Platform products, solutions, and Application Programming Interface
  • Troubleshoot issues and plans for future cloud capacity requirements
  • Lead installation and configuration of cloud management applications of large sized efforts.
  • Identify and document product bugs, feature requests and work with internal support teams, external providers and customers
  • Mentor team members on analysis of summary data on cloud resource deployment
  • Partner with IT architecture teams to design, deploy, manage, and operate of scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems in the cloud by working directly with stakeholders.

 


Qualifications:

  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related and 8+ years of experience; or Master's degree, and6+ years of experience
  • Lean-Agile principles and practices (includes DevSecOps, Scurm, SAFe, and Kanban)
  • Strong experience of AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and/or Azure service offerings
  • Experience in virtualization technologies: Server, Storage, Networking
  • Experience in scripting languages, and software automation skills
  • Experience in computer programming languages: C, C Sharp, C++, Perl, PHP, and Python
  • Strong experience of administering systems in a virtualized Cloud environment based on VMware vRealize, vCloud Director, and NSX technologies
  • Experience in configuration management using CloudFormation, and similar technologies
  • Strong experience in Infrastructure automation through scripting
  • Strong experience in designing and implementing enterprise services with the full range of cloud service providers/solutions, on Amazon Web Services (AWS), and/or Microsoft Azure

Required

  • Storage administration (on-prem and/or Azure)
  • Advanced Azure administration using RBAC, Policy, and automation
  • Software Development practices and Lifecycle Management?
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform and Git/GitLab)
  • Scripting (PowerShell and/or Python)
